FOOD
White-tailed deer are browsers and
grazers. Deer eat many types of berries,
leaves, grass, corn, young stems, acorns
wildflowers, honeysuckle, oak seedlings
and fruits. The deer also feed on mushrooms
and farmers crops, sometimes causing large
damage to the farmer's crops.
The deer eats 5 to 9 pounds of food per day
and drinks water from rain, snow, dew, or a
water source. Some people plant deer clover,
buck wheat, and biologic which have more
nutrients than the normal plants.
